Wedding budget calculator built for Canadian costs.
Describe the wedding you are planning and get a practical all-in estimate, including service, tax, and the costs that are easy to miss.
A planning model, not a magic average.
The estimate separates guest-driven costs, fixed vendor costs, service, tax, and contingency. Toronto assumptions reflect a broad range of local venue and vendor pricing; the Canada (other provinces) preset is deliberately editable.
- Food, bar, cake, and stationery respond to guest or household count.
- Venue, photography, attire, and other fixed costs do not shrink proportionally.
- Service and tax are shown separately so real quotes are easier to normalize.

This is a planning estimate, not a vendor quote or tax advice. Actual prices, inclusions, taxes, and minimums vary. Replace assumptions with real quotes as you receive them.
Wedding budget calculator questions
Is this an average Canadian wedding cost?
No. It is a planning model built from guest-driven and fixed costs. A single national average cannot describe Toronto, a rural venue, a restaurant wedding, and a luxury hotel equally well.
Does the estimate include tax and service charges?
Yes, unless you mark a real quote as already including them. The rates are editable planning defaults because vendors structure quotes differently.
Why does a small wedding still look expensive?
Many important costs are fixed, and venues or caterers may have minimum spending requirements. A 50-person wedding is not automatically half the price of a 100-person wedding.
Can I save the estimate?
Yes. Signed-in MapleVow users can import the category estimates into a wedding Budget Tracker. Saving again updates calculator items without changing manual entries.
Will my budget details be shared?
No. Anonymous calculations stay in your browser. MapleVow only receives the estimate when a signed-in user chooses to save it to a wedding.
